I always used Rotella 15-40 in my 93 Chevy PU with 6.5T diesel engine. Bought it at 104K miles, at 173K miles it threw a rod. My service manager advised that Ford and Chrysler posted a bulletin discouraging the use of Shell Rotella but GM had not yet taken any position on it.
