Here in SE Michigan, it's been pretty wet. Lake levels are up, have to cut my grass twice a week. I've been watching the "Weather in Motion" lately and it's interesting how these pockets of wet weather move across the country. Few days ago, I was sitting in my office seeing the clouds and lightning and heavy rain in the distance to the west. Figured we were in a for a good soaking. I then watched the radar map as it tracked the storm as it slid by heading NE, maybe 1/4 mile to west of us. Didn't get a drop out of that cell. So, yeah, I can see how some folks might be dry and others not. Rain DOES seem spottier lately with larger more localized cells. Of course, maybe that's because the radar is easier for everyone to access due to the Internet and before we were just oblivious to everything that wasn't right over our head.
