Scared? Really? Are you scared of cars, boats, motorcycles, beer, booze in general, doctors, hospitals, football, stairs, ladders, swimming pools, trampolines, canoes, rafts, trains or any number of other things that kill people each day? Considering the numbers, a gun is one of the safest inanimate objects (tools) out there. Used to be every town had gins for sale at every hardware, JC Penney, Sears, Montgomery Wards, Western Auto and a lot of other places. Were you scared then?
In a day when we have epidemic drug abuse, drug resistant strains of easily communicable deadly diseases, a shortage of basic human decency and a society that is circling the drain headed for the cess pool a new gun store would be so far down my list of worries as to be a joke.
You know, since this will be taken as a harsh post by some, let me make something clear. No one is demanding you or anyone else own a gun, like guns or support the rights of others to own guns. But there are a lot of us out here who want people like you to stop deciding that we are incapable or safely and responsibly owning firearms and utilizing our Constitutional rights. It's a right, not a privilege dependent on someone elses interpretation of our "needs".
