Greg I looked up other articles on the couple. They stated they where "living" together already. The girl/woman was complaining how she did not have a "white" dress. (found that funny). How her Father could not be there. Had two weeks to travel???? How they could not "plan" a big wedding and such.
It irks me that people want to "practice" being married by living together and then want to act all virginal IF they decide to get married later. Kind of like shutting the door after that horse is gone.
The fact is the fellow slugged an ex-boy friend an was charged with assault. He was worried in court about his job but not when he hit the fellow. Might be hard hearted but this fellow built his troubles and is crying because he has any penalties. I really do not see how marring your girl friend is really much of a penalty. IF they really did not want to get married then just go get a civil ceremony and have it annulled after his probation was over. The cost of a marriage license is around $25 and an annulment is not much more than that either. So your not talking about much money to keep his butt out of jail for 15 days.
