Billy, Leaves are starting to fall here, not so much turning, but falling. The squirrels are already cutting the limbs with acorns on them and some oaks are already losing acorns in the woods. That usually don't start till end of Sept here.
Our wood is still in 8' lengths at the bottom of our drive and has been since last year, good and dry,as it was covered with a tarp and on runners.Son just has to cut on it for 3-4 days and then split and stack,my job is the splitter again.Still have a few softer trees to take down for fall and spring burning, mostly poplar, and basswood.Just enough to take the chill off.
Garden is still producing maters, broccoli, sweet corn, sweet taters, Burbank russets on the north patch is still growing, although the vines are dying on them.Even have pickles and peppers going at it,along with pumpkins and squash, and melons.I just hope they turn ripe before any frost hits.
Our winter is usually starts end of Sept ,Early Nov and goes until May.Last snow is around April 15th,but can't control the weather as much as I would like to,lol.Summer goes too fast and winter stays too long to suit me, but at least it's quieter in the winter.
Try to keep warm and safe and healthy during cutting season and winter. Regards, LOU

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
