I'm pretty sure Goose isn't his real name, and he didn't list any other names or places. I wouldn't worry too much about that. But, my response was directed at your statement that it was no one's business but their own. That is patently absurd. I'll ask you the question again that gets to my point. Do elected representatives only represent the constituency while they are performing official duties? Should Marion Berry been fired? Should Anthony Weiner have been forced to resign? Are you saying the concept of character and integrity are for a bygone age, and do not matter in modern government and politics? In addition to the moral aspect, if her vote or representation on the commission could in any way affect the department over which this other guy is head, then there is certainly a conflict of interest an is of public interest.
These are sincere questions, I'm not trying to start an argument or anything. I just want to see if you really believe what you are saying or you are just repeating an idea you've heard elsewhere without haven't thought it through. I'm not as interested in the legal aspect, although I don't think Goose is in any danger here. You're opinion is heavily represented by the other posters and I am having a hard time believing that our ideas (as a culture) about leadership and character have been totally upended in the way it seems they have.
