All I can find on it, is on cylinder barrel stamped "J7", and on end of ram "8961". The stamping you can tell was done by individual character stamps. Also it has remenants of gray paint on it. Owner of 2nd hand goods store passed away and I bought it off his son so application unknown. It's unique that oil enters end of ram rather in both ends of barrel. By the pipe wrench marks on it you can tell its been taken apart over its lifetime. I'm interested just to take it apart to see its condition inside and how it works. I figure I'll take it to the local tractor shops to see if they can identify it. One parts guy is an older gentleman who is a retired Case mechanic. He seems very knowledgeable.
