saw that in the 1960's a lot in Indiana-Illinois area before Interstates. Oil from cars accumulates on pavement during dry spells. Then it rains & suddenly you're driving on oil! Driver demonstrated this to me by pulling onto the pavement & suddenly gunning it. Car barely moved but wheels spinning like 60 mph. Might as well have been driving on ice!
