Finished painting neighbor's tractor. 1947 McCormick Deering W6 with add on power steering and live hydraulics. Took 6 months of weekends to finish. I have learned how to cut and buff orange peel (lots of practice) and also learned I could never make a living at this. I sure enjoyed neighbor's smile and watching him take it around the block. All the buffing was worth listening to his stories of farming with horses and how pleased he was when his father purchased the families first tractor many years ago. I cannot explain the excitement red tractors instill in me. I read this forum everyday and appreciate the wisdom and knowledge that is shared. Thank You Davin

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
