The tractor is a 6 V. Pos. Gnd. The regulator contacts will remain closed on the tractor regulator and drain the battery.Most engine balers have a solid state Reg. The isolation diode in the Reg. will protect the 12 V. Neg. Gnd. side from draining.
The 12 V. Neg. Gnd. will keep the 6 V. Pos. Gnd. Reg. contacts closed Thus draining the 6 V. tractor battery.
When both are running they fight each other again (Under and Over charging)
