I'm home and looked at the parts manual. It calls for 3/8x1 1/2 no mention of the threads. I must have seen the fine thread mentioned looking for the studs online.
So I called the auto parts store that I bought them at and they can only tell me what the box on the studs say. Automotive stud. Heat treated. Not a mention of grade so that's an unknown. They are that flat black, oily looking color of stud, If that makes any differance at all.
Also the book calls for washers and mine had no washers at all. I'll reinstall washers when it goes back together. Thanks everyone, any other thoughts I'd appreciate it.
