I have a few nice people in the territory I take care of. I have a couple ladies that bring me cookies the first snowstorm every year. I go by their house, and they know about how long it will take me to finish that run and be headed back down the other side of the road. When I get by their houses, they'll be standing at the edge of the road waving for me to stop. Very nice older ladies that live by themselves and drive little cars. They are grateful that I have plowed the road and they can get out if they need to. There is quite a few people that will walk out and stop me a couple times a year and just tell me I'm doing a good job. If I happen to see someone stuck (not flat out in the ditch), just hung up a bit, and it won't hold me up too long, I'll stop and shovel under their tires and toss a couple shovel full of sand under their tires to get them out. They sometimes will send a personal thank you note to the office for you. Makes you feel good, like there are people out there that do appreciate the job you're doing. No matter what job someone is doing, they are almost always beneficial to someone else.
