The guy it out of town for a while so I will not be working on it as such but will be down to his place in a day or 2 to take a hyd cylinder off a 580B case back hoe to have it rebuilt so will take a look and see which way the master is hooked up but I am pretty sure it is on the + side of the system. The problem started with the main starter solenoid the one mounted to the starter would click super fast and the starter would sort of try to spin it over and some times would even spin it over enough for it to start but not often. I could jumper the solenoid and get it started but of course the guy wanted it fixed so it did not take 2 people to start. I told him that is was likely that the new starter solenoid was likely to be be right out of the box but he will not believe that can happen. By the way this machine is wore out. Just to make a turn he has to use the boom to lift it up some or a track will come off
