I would not risk getting another inferior pair of boots form the same vendor. As others have suggested, take your refund and buy a new pair of boots somewhere else.
If you have any shoe repair shops nearby, take your old boots to one of them. If the boots are good quality a repair shop can often resole a pair of boots for around $50 to $75.
