So, I bought a brand new pair of work boots online from "shoe line . com". They are Carolina boots, and CAROLINA boot Co told me to buy them from Shoe Line. They are American Made, 2E size 16's, I paid $179.99, free shipping.
They get here, and out of the box I notice that there is a tiny little gap between the tread on the left boot, like it was seperating? Didn't think much of it, as the stitching isn't always RIGHT on the edge. Well, I wore them pretty consistently for 2 months, and they were just falling apart?! The heel was starting to tear all of the stitching in one of them, and the tread was getting worse and worse. I called shoe line about 3 weeks ago, and they just flat out didn't care. So I called Carolina, and I got a VERY nice, American woman, happy to talk and help, and she apologized, said that there had to be a fluke, because their return rate of these boots are so low (I agree, reputable brand in my opinion), but that I had to deal with ShoeLine.
SO, after several more calls with shoe line, some lady e-mails me a return ticket for UPS (free shipping) and a form to fill out saying why I didn't like them. I wrote on the form exactly what the issue was, and that I wanted an exchange for the exact same pair of boots.
Finally, this morning after waiting weeks, I get a generic e-mail from them saying that they no longer carry that size / style of shoe, are sorry for the inconvenience, and will be crediting my credit card the $179.99. I go onto shoe line, and they have the EXACT SAME BOOT, same everything, but it is $199.99.
I am going to call them shortly, because I think this is bs. Am I right?? I should have a new set of boots in the mail!! :

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
