Took a trip with my 2014 Ram 350 Diesel dually and 5th wheel RV last week to Mustang Island in Port Aransas Texas. In South Texas most diesel fuel has a percentage of soybean (soy) in the fuel. Not sure why East Texas does not have any Soy in the Diesel but I was not sure if it was good for trucks on a long basis. I added some Kleen supplement just in case it might affect my injectors etc. Anyone have any long term experience with soy diesel? Going on a long trip out west this fall and might encounter more of the same. I have heard that soy diesel is not good in cold weather and can decrease fuel filter and injector life. If it is anything like ethanol for gas engines, then it is probably not a good thing in the long run. Corn and sorghum (Milo) is near maturity and look pretty good. Now that the rains have eased up, a lot of hay is being harvested. Cotton looks great and is already blooming and soybeans are over knee high in some areas. You can really tell where the wet spots were in the spring as there isn't any crops in those areas and mostly bare ground except for weeds.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
