info on old case backhoe

I just inherited an old Case backhoe. I think it
is either a 500 or 600 series, utility version.
Thus far i cannot find any tags or model numbers
on the tractor. The loader and backhoe however is
a Case 31. I am trying to decide if I should dive into
rebuilding parts of the tractor and backhoe system. Where can I get information on this backhoe? Does
anyone in the newsgroup have first hand knowledge
of the setup?
