: Over the weekend, i got my 9n running after sitting for 2+yrs. : However, it wouldn't let me give it full throttle without : it running rough, spitting water out radiator overflow, and : back firing. It did run great at idle though. : Also, after letting it run for a while I couldn't get it : going again. Could this be a sign of a bad ign. coil : not generating a good spark when hot? : Finally, there was no sign of charging when running. : Generator/Voltage reg. problem? : Any advise would be greatly appreciated. : Thanks Steve The bad running could be condenser or coil, or wires. A bad condenser made my 135 run like that and it cracked the manifold from the odd heating. The generator's commutator may need cleaning, or the voltage regulator may have crud on its contacts, or both.
