My parents auction was yesterday. I still have to go back and help load a few things, but most of the equipment left yesterday, and all but a few cows that got to stay one more night. Equipment prices I thought were average. Some stuff went cheaper than I would have thought, but then other items went higher than I could have imagined. We got more for both of the NH choppers than we had invested in either one (one good one, one parts unit) and the old H&S 220 manure spreader brought $1050
Dad's 285 sold for $4100 street I ran it up, and his 165 brought around $1700, and that was a stretch. I think most of the stuff brought at or slightly more than we paid for them at auction ourselves.
The herd was where the real money was, and guys paid a good average I'd rather not say exactly what they brought, but it's higher than market right now. I wasn't really impressed with the auctioneer leading up to the sale, but I think the weather helped bring out a few more bidders and in the end helped bring up the price.
