I bought mine in Feb 2014 with cow sales profits when beef was high and I had decided that I was through chasing 3000# bulls around a corral.
What a relief in having power at all times and not having to drag out the portable and extension cords. I bought the Generac because that's their business and they have sold over 1 million units over the years. Ordered mine from them online and had it truck freighted to me. I did the installation myself except for the propane which the dealer did the installation with the new dedicated tank and regulators. Instructions were quite clear.
Only problem I had was caused by a problem I have had with every 4 cycle internal combustion engine I have purchased new. At the factories, OEMs apparently don't know that oil filters take ¾ turn after the gasket touches to tighten properly. They think you need to torque them down. ON the Generac, after a year or so, the oil filter developed a seep at the seam where the housing is crimped to the flange.
