You might consider getting your son into something where he doesn't necessarily need to compete with all of his friends and has something of his own. My grandson was having problems and I suggested that they get them into martial arts. Not so he could beat everybody up, but it gives them a sense of confidence and discipline. That just made a huge difference in his life. And frankly he gets along so much better in school now. Sometimes they need something that's their own where they don't have to compete with everybody. It's not going to solve the problems at school, but he'll feel much better about himself and have more confidence.
