Folks: boy scouts, school sports and other events (tractor show) we have had to deal with unique problems and am looking for your insight here goes: First I am not super keen on highly competitive events for the following reasons. Baseball: kid bats into triple play and game is over and a loss, his team mates blame him and shun him. Boxing: kids first fight last 14 seconds (10 of them on the canvas) His friends taunt him heavily about this. Boy scout event: another unit blows through a skills test and the local unit can't even finish it. Tractor show: kid messes up a pull (shut throttle down instead of up) got 10 feet!!! and hay bale toss some stranger teenage boy was there and threw it 58 feet most got 5-25 feet. I know this is part of growing up and all you can do is console them but they are sure hurt and feel like a failure. and the taunting is unreal from piers even adults. Thanks for you insight.
