To me, the greater evil is not being laughed at or bullied for losing, the greater evil is when a kid who lost or was on the losing team pitches a fit, throws things, storms off without speaking to anyone, etc. That is the problem child and he/she needs the correction. Life is not fair. Things don't always go as expected. Winning is not everything. I've seen this type behavior in adults as well and I always think, (in the case of adults) someone needs to bust their nose a couple of times and the rude behavior would mellow right on out. I've seen it happen. It certainly has a calming effect on the previously upset person. Sorry, no sympathy here for rude behavior.
