I am in an emergency situation, The last month, the weather has dropped, I have been holding down on my glow plugs 50 seconds to start the tractor, and i have not been giving them a 2 minute break, anyways, 5 glow plugs are shot. I tested them, some 90 Ohms, some not even making a connection. only 1 plug is doing 1 ohm. anyways, I know how to do everything, but I am so worried to try and start taking them out, because i know they bust really easy. I am begging for advice on how the Safest way is to remove them glow plugs, pretty much on the first try. they are probably as old as the tractor. 1966. I snow plow many peoples driveways. I already ordered a pack of 6 new plugs for it. I am too afraid to touch them without getting advice from this website. Any types of tips, advice, or anything i can do to get them out? I can't start it to bring it into a heated barn, so I'm out in 20 degree F. I'm not using either to get it into an pole barn, ether for an IDI is a no no. Any advice from anyone is useful. Thank you for any possible help...
