Yes good dogs become family quick. I have always had dogs. I just feel more comfortable with them over the majority of humans. LOL I have a little female Shih Tzu house dog that is wherever I am in the house and she loves to ride in the car/truck. I then have two mix breed German Shepard type dogs that are mainly outside dogs. They sleep in the garage but if I am out side they are with me. They love to ride in the back of the pickup. They can sure jump. They can get into the back of my truck without scratching the sides. I have to watch taking them to town. They will not let anyone within 10 feet of the truck without raising cane, unless it is a kid. Then the kid could steal them and the truck. LOL
