9N Serial #

I have what I believe to be a real old 9N. I know the sn. is on the side of the engine but can't find it. distributer is up front. I need to clean and set the points--is there any way to do this without disassembleing the tractor? Please drop me a line and tell me exactly where the sn is. I;m afraid it got destroyed by a bath of battery corrosion. Thanks for any help--Vern
