Its probably easiest to remove the distributor (it doesn't have a shaft doing into the engine) for point changing and adjusting. I remember my dad cussing the front mount distributor on his 33 and 36 v-8 fords. The general procedure was to ignore that distributor until the engine wouldn't run anymore. Gerald
