The grader was made less than 20 miles from here, Champion, built in Goderich. Good Roads was an old family owned company from the 1800's that built road scrapers and levelers. These evolved into motorized road graders as seen most with Cummins or Detroit diesels. The company was bought by Volvo some 15 or so years ago. About 5 years ago, production was moved to the US and the factory closed, the largest employer in a small town...300 workers lost jobs, devastating the small (8000) town.
