My tractor is a 1953 Ferguson TO30 and it has a Zenith Carb on it. I thought all these tractors came with the Marvel Schebler carb. Beside the point. The engine runs with the choke out and a touch of throttle but will instantly die choke in. Main and fuel jets have no effect on anything. I want to rebuild this carburetor. Is there only one Zenith carb that came on this tractor or did they only come with the Schebler carb and someone replaced the SC with this Zenith? Are Zenith rebuild kits generic to all Zenith carbs where ya get universal parts to pick and choose from or do ya get a kit for one particular Zenith carb. I'm a motorcycle guy and have rebuilt many carbs but each model cycle has a particular carb to itself. These tractors are wild cards it seems when it comes to carburetors. (carb still on the manifold but (is there a number on the body that identifies this particular carb? Thanks.
