I had some wind damage here last night. Two of the large shade trees in the back yard got blown down. We had straight line winds that just tore them up. The wind was blowing a steady all day yesterday. It started to pickup at around 9 PM. I was in the kitchen putting on my shoes to go move the cars when all of a sudden the stuff in the cabinets on the west wall of the utility room was thrown out on the floor. The one tree hit the roof then slid down it an hit the car and west wall all at once. There are two wall studs broke and three roof rafters cracked.
I had one car totaled and two other damaged. One shed roof caved in and minor damage to the house. I got about half of it clean up today. It was slow going getting the trees off the cars without doing more damage. Looks like I maybe getting the run around form the insurance company. I call the one that has the house/farm insurance. The regular agent was out today. The lady on the phone sure did not know much about what was going on. So I hope to have better luck with the regular fellow. I would not bet on it. I rarely come away from dealing with an insurance company and not feel violated. LOL
