Every so often I see you guys talking about how bad the mosquitos are. Or you crack jokes about it is snowing and at least you did not see any mosquitos.
So does your county spray for mosquitos?
Did you know the bumper on the back of every tractor trailer is a direct result of spraying for mosquitos in Louisiana? Some even call it a Mansfield Bar for the actress that was killed in the accident.
Reading todays funny just as the mosquito abatement truck passed in front of my house made me think about this. The also spray from the air in a grid pattern. Think a crop duster has a hard job. This guy fly's over just above the tree tops in the dark. I would swear he is so low when he comes over the house I could throw a rock and hit the plane.
This is the plane my local area uses.
Years ago it was a thick fog. Today they spray with a clear spray. Another direct result of accidents in the fog. I can remember all the kids hearing the truck coming down the street and running outside just to ride their bikes in the fog because I was one of them.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
