Too much water and land area here with too few people = no skeeter sprayin' for us. In severe drought conditions, the water table is never more than a few feet under your foot, and normally it's just inches below the surface. Way too much water everywhere to control the skeeter population. Add to that our township has only about a dozen households in the entire township and....well, our county has resorted to tearing up paved roads in need of repair and reverting back to less costly gravel. I personally do not know of any roads that they have done this to, but apparently this was mostly on the other side of the county.
For anyone wondering, the reason I don't like giving too many clues to our exact location IS because of the extremely sparse population. On the other hand, our dear neighbor has gotten us to where we have over 25 cameras and multiple recorders. And yes, skeeters look kinda funky on the screen at night! :lol:
