Hi All,
I've had my Snapper 1855 for two years and she has treated me well. I recently rebuilt the engine, a new experience for me. Learned a lot! The engine runs better than ever. That's the good news. The bad news is that I must have assembled the electric clutch that controls the mower deck wrong. It started to smoke and by the time I got the tractor shut off the windings were shredded.
I can't find a replacement online anywhere--not on ebay, craigslist, etc. I know the original parts are no longer manufactured but am hoping that someone out there who is experienced with Snappers can help me find a source for a used or equivalent unit.
I found an exploded view of the clutch midpower takeoff on an online replacement parts website that lists the original model number as 7019836. In parentheses is listed Warner # 5208-752-010.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been dead in the water for weeks and am getting tired of borrowing mowers!
