the diesel was a 201 c.i.d. 50hp and the gas was close to the same. It came with either a 10',13',or 15' hoe
as a unit it was one of the finest units of its time, they weren't pretty, and were only avail
with four levers on the back hoe instead of the two lever system that was becoming popular at the time.
Its weak points were its boom swing chain system, the hydraulic pump, and stress cracks on the backhoe boom.
All 4500's had the model 740 loader, and the hoes were the 753 (10") 754 (13") or the 755 (15')
Have a pro look it over,check ALL the cylinders for leaks and scrapes, (cylinder work isn't cheap!) the gas model wouldn't be my first choice.......but for personal or farm use
a good machine !
