I am looking to add a 2 5/16th inch trailer ball to my Farmall 756 horseshoe shaped draw bar so I can move my equipment trailer around the yard. I do not have the draw bar extension that bolts to the draw bar. The holes on the draw bar look to be 5/8 inch...but, my ball has a 1 1/4 inch shank. I called a local tractor salvage yard, who has an extension for $15. He wasn't sure of the hole size and that the hole was egged out a bit. What have you guys done to add a trailer hitch ball? I don't have the large drill bits or a torch to make big holes in metal.
