I did a Pertronix install on my Powermaster. I had a tedious time finding good part numbers for install, especially compatible suppression wires. Thought I'd leave these here all in one place to hopefully make it easier on the next guy:
Module: Pertronix Ignitor 1244A
Cap: Echlin FA352
Coil: Pertronix Flame Thrower 3 ohm oil filled
Wires: Ultima Select 3189-03
Plugs: AC Delco Platinum
Finding the right wires was the hardest part for me. They have to be suppression or else you will burn up the Pertronix. I went down to Oreilly's and rummaged through their plug wires. The Ultima Select brand 7mm suppression wires I found have an OEM fit and near OEM appearance right out of the box, no cutting or crimping of boots necessary. Looks like decent quality and says "Made In USA" on the box. Interchange said the set was for AMC and Jeep 6cyl (1976 and up 232 or 258 cid) so you get a couple extra wires to play with lengths on your 4cyl tractor.
Echlin FA352 distributor cap from NAPA was the best quality match I found after purchasing a TSC brand and a "tuneup kit" online order, both of which were low quality import.
Coil has to be 3 ohm or you will burn up the Pertronix. I went with Flame Thrower oil filled in black. On advice directly from Pertronix tech support, I disconnected my external ballast resistor and am running full 12vdc to the coil.
The plugs are AC Delco Platinum, I can't remember the exact part number but I started with AL437, cross referenced to Delco, then found a Platinum equivalent in the same family. Not going to lie, the Platinums were kind of spendy. There's a ton of spark plug options so you definitely don't have to use the Platinum. Autolite would probably be my second choice. Gapped the Delcos to .045 inch. I know some guys say .060" because it's electronic ignition, but the 1244a Ignitor is not an HEI unit. The Flame Thrower does make a little more spark than stock, though, so I feel that somewhere between .035 to .045 is probably a good gap up and yet not too excessive. I'll pull the plugs in a few weeks and report back if there's too much soot.
The tractor fires up immediately now and runs smoother than at any other time since I've owned it. The idle, especially, is greatly improved. Very happy overall with the part numbers posted as a whole.

Today's Featured Article - Old Time Threshing - by Anthony West. A lovely harvest evening late September 1947, I was a school boy, like all school boys I loved harvest time. The golden corn ripens well and early, the stoking, stacking,.... the drawing in with the tractors and trailers and a few buck rakes thrown in, and possibly a heavy horse. It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
