Been a few years since I’ve gone to this show as well—glad I carved some time out of work—could have stayed a little longer.
Traditional Farmer, don’t know who the big AC crawler belongs to but it was one of my favorite machines there. Always like the big crawlers with cable controls and this was massive.
Michael Soldan, that machine was for roadwork. As Deere Marke mentioned, it was something called a “Formgrader.” I remember seeing that written somewhere on or around it.
WI Dan—I had hard time getting my mind around two guys building such a thing. Said it was second time they showed it—so I’m guessing they’ve been retired at least ten years so maybe the tractor took about ten years or so to build? Maybe more. I’m sure it consumed a lot of their waking—and sleeping—time.
3000OH—thanks for the comment about the Panzers. I was really wondering how effective that huge mower was alongside that little tractor. Seems the Panzers have their own following at all the shows. Never owned one but I like the mini-tractors.
