A friend retired from flying the fighters out of Plattsburg back when they were based there and it was a tradition that about the whole squadron goes out for a final flight when someone retires. They flew over to Maine and he had video of of a log truck coming down a mountain, so one after another, they buzzed him from behind. I bet he had to change his britches when he got home. You also mentioned the A-10's. I was working in the Adirondacks near Hoffmiester NY, pushing over a waste area high on a ridge overlooking a little valley, suddenly two A 10's came up the valley just above the treetops BELOW me and they looked up and waved as they went by not much over hundred feet away.
