Dear AO120, I had an IHC-354 a few years ago. I liked it very much. It's about 36 PTO HP. The power steering and differential lock are very handy. Mine was a gas, and it ran excellent. The brakes are probably the weak part of the tractor. They are disks and weren't very good even with new linings. If it doesn't have a grille guard- get one. The front sheet metal and plastic grille are very vulnerable. I sold mine for $4400. It took some time to do so. I would compare it to a MF 135, or Ford 3000 in size, HP, weight, and performance. The MF and Ford can sell for up to $6000. The IHC is a good buy if it's less than $4500 because it doesn't have the resell value of the MF and Fords. Good Luck, Ken McWilliams Dayton, OH ******************************************************************************************************************* It's much lighter than my John Deere 1020. : I am looking at an IH 354, early 1970's model? Good condition, garage kept, used by a local school since new to pull a gang reel mower. No dents, good rubber, gas engine, runs good. 1873 original hours. Is the 354 a good model? I have never sen many of them What are the inherent problems of the model? It is being sold by sealed bid. What is a reasonable price for the tractor?
