I bought my 01 PSD Dec2016. It always was slow to turn over and hard starting. I put in new batteries with no effect. System voltage was ok so I just figured nature of the beast. Until one day it needed a jump to start. Shortly I put in a new starter just to see and it was a whole new truck.
You might want to take it somewhere and have a starter draw test done. Also if the charging system isn't keeping up perhaps the plow is taking more power to run. Or the Alternator isn't putting out like it should.
