Don't know to much about a rich comment, but there is about 40 to 50 acres between the two places which get cut. Buddies gets bush hogged twice a year and my 16 or so acres gets mowed at least once a month.
Back to my question. I don't care if its old or new, but what I do like is HST because you don't need to use the break much, and there is no clutch. If I had to use a clutch on the hills I'm doing I wouldn't get much done.
