Been using my buddies JD5320 4x4 with HST, R4 tires and a 6 foot bush hog to cut his and my property. Both areas have some flat and there is a lot of backing up a hill cutting brush and grass.
I like the HST tranny because it gives me more control. Also have a CAT backhoe which uses shuttle shift and this type of tranny would be OK, but need to use the break more often.
Looking at getting a tractor for my self and would like to use a bigger bush hog, or better yet a finish mower. Not sure yet what I'm going to do with my 24 acres (crops, beef, lamb, other) so right now I'm just trying to figure out which tractor would work best.
