I’ve been experiencing dead batteries in this cold weather. 1988 JD 2555. Inreplaced the battery closest to the started when I found a dead cell and replaced both ground straps while I had them out charging. Each was load tested and seems to be in good condition. Tested the alternator and it’s putting out 14 volts. I removed all the wires on the alternator and starter, cleaned the contacts and put it alll back together. I’ll try checklist ng it again tomorrow and see if the right hand battery is down again.
Can anyone recommend a method of tracking and identifying what might be causing a key off draw on the batteries.
