: Hi, my name is Bob Koik. I live in the city of Darwin which is one of the states of Australia. Recently we went camping in the outback and I came across a very old International Tractor on a cattel station. As I like tinkering with old machinery I decided to revisit the place a couple of weeks latter with a large trailer, winches and many tools. Two days latter we managed to get it back to Darwin. Its now in front of my shed. : Can you assist me to tell me what year or any other details that you might be able to dig up in your achives. It has a 4 cylinder petrol motor but parts of the motor as missing. I would like to restore it but would like to know if I can get parts for it. : The numbers are very hard to read but I think they are; : Model No. W4 : Serial No. WBH 4943. : If you can assist me on any of the above it would make my day. : : Regards : bob koik (from Down Under) Looking in the International Harvester Tractor Data Book, I see McCormick-Deering W-4 pg 125; Chassis Prefix WBH (located left side of clutch housing), Eng Prefix WBHM (located Pad right side of crankcase). Your s/n WBH 4943 is a 1942, 1,888 built that year and a total produced of 24,377 from 1940 to 1954. Check the Nebraska Test Numbers 342 & 353 for great info. Good Luck and Enjoy Mate
