Just got done planting 135 acres of corn, no starter. Minimal road traveling, fields were around main farm. 134 acres and 24.8 gallons of diesel used. This is a M125X 4WD, loader on for rocks, no duals pulling a JD 1760 12 row. .185 gallons/acre is pretty good. When up and down the road planting beans it usually is .2gal/ac. Who says you need a big tractor to plant. I don't care for getting jostled in a smaller cab however and duals would help keep the side to side movement down. But, that's what I use. What do large tractors use per acre planting?
