Stinging nettle, oh yes, I found out what they are in a humbling way. Back in the 80's I was stationed in England, attached to a Scottish Infantry Regiment. One day the unit was going to the Range to fire the newly received, to them, the 3.5 Rocket Launcher. The US Army had done away with this Weapon System many years before. I had fired this weapon many times in my earlier career. I mention this and was ask to accompany them to the range and help them with the safety aspects. Arriving at the range, they sent group of soldiers to a area where I was located, and I proceeded to take them off the trail into the bush. A few minutes past and I was about to start explaining the safety aspects when a Scottish Sergeant said to me, Sergeant Major, do you know what Stinging Nettle are? I said, no, I don't think so. He replied, in a very Scottish Brogue "Aye, by God you will, you be standing in them". Well, he was right, very painful for a couple off days and a trip to see the Doc.
