I posted a few days ago about needing help with some 6v Pos Ground generators.
Found out my generator without a Tag on my Co-Op E-3 is supposed to be an Autolite Geo-4818A3.
I still don't know if there is a way to Identify my generator as that model or if it matters. Will any 6v regulator work on this 3 brush generator? If so does Yesterdays tractor here offer one or anybody have a Napa # for one? They don't list regulators for Cockshutt here, but I would think one for a 6v gen on something else would work.
I didn't get any responses on matching a regulator for my Delco 1102667 generator that I want to put on my Moline UTU. Does Yesterdays tractor have a regulator to match that?
Also some regulators say they need a "Conversion Kit" when changing from Cut-out. Since most all these tractors had cut-out originally do I need this?
I guess in short - Since many old tractors have had the generators replaced over the years, how to you match a regulator to a generator? Especially if the generator has lost its tag and you don't know for certain what model it is.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
