Follow Clutch and Duetsch's advice. Keep her original. The 6-volt system was designed to work and if your tractor is tuned correctly, she will have no problem starting on 6-V. Mine is a 48 Super A and works like a charm on the original 6 system. E-mail for all of the free advice I can offer if you need. Good luck! PS - What is your serial number and year model??
