Was mowing today with the Massey 165 gasser. Sputtered and quit after about 2 hours. I opened the gas cap and released big vacuum. Got it restarted but sounded like it was running on one cylinder, ran for about 30 seconds, then it quit. Tried again 30 minutes later and it started and ran fine for 30 seconds, then it quit. Battery went dead and I had to stop trying.
I had to jump it last time I used it about a month ago, and had to jump it today. It had about 1/4 tank and I added 5 gallons before starting. It smokes a lot, white smoke. I took the battery out and will get a new one, and get a new in line fuel filter. It is about an hour away from home. Any other suggestions?
