Flame suit is on guys, this is just what I see unfolding. I also posted this over on that red tractor site.

Thing is guys is the folks against this stuff are winning the media blitz. While the farmer is on here and other tractor and farms sites they are on youtube, twitter and facebook making a case against this stuff. Trying to pass the blame on to homeowners and cities has failed. Monsanto and the farmer has lost the media blitz. You can get on here and whine all you want. Here is not where you have to convince people. And face it. The chemical companies at best have a criminal background when it comes down to safety and profit. Doesn't matter if it's safe or not. What the people see (the people being the average tax paying city dweller) is a guy, called a farmer, trying to make a profit like any other business that cares little for product safety and only about profit. It's you guys actually farming today who have to fix that image. Now consider that the folks doing organic or sustainable farming has been the subject of your ridicule for decades.......they are riding the wave! Promising a so called safe alternative to you uncaring, money grubbing killers! (And that's how they see you)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look back. Where average joe citizen started to question the farmer was during the 80's farm crisis. The news media, with glee mind you, reported on the farm tractor drive to DC that only the rich farmers were able to afford to participate and the value of each tractor that the cam crews managed to get good video of. That means considering the speed of those tractors only the most expensive ones. So the news media, who were against the old farm subsidies got farmers good. They won that round. They got what they wanted and the masses considered them heroes. Until you guys can work together as one you will fail to overcome the media.

Just my opinion.

Rick

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
